Who does what?

Guide, Helper, Worker, and Reviewer are names for the kinds of help you can ask an AI assistant to provide. Choose a prompt for the job you have in mind. You can start with one and ask for other help as you need it.

You set the goal and make the important choices. The prompts ask the assistant to explain its advice, check its work, and tell you what remains uncertain.

Guide

Use a Guide to answer a question or help you carry a project through from the first idea to a checked result. It plans when needed, carries out routine work, and asks when an important choice needs your judgment.

For example: prepare a factual document, improve a draft, or continue work from an earlier chat.

Helper

Use a Helper when you want to understand something. It explains the main point, works through examples, and helps you compare options. It can recommend a choice and explain its reasons.

For example: give it a Guide’s proposed plan and ask it to explain the choices in plain English.

Worker

Use a Worker when you already know the task and the result you want. It does that job, checks the important parts, and reports anything unfinished. It asks before making the task substantially larger.

For example: ask it to compare two versions of a document and list the changes.

Reviewer

Use a Reviewer for a second look at a plan or finished work. It checks against your goal, looks for important problems or unnecessary work, and recommends the smallest useful corrections. It tells you what it checked and what it could not verify.

Use a separate chat, preferably with a different AI assistant. Include your goal, requirements, and the actual work. Bring the comments back to your Guide and decide what to change.

A review can be useful when the result has important consequences. You decide whether to ask for one.
